The Lucky One hits theaters on April 20th, 2012 and is based on Nicholas Sparks' best seller, "The Lucky One". The film tells the story of Logan Thibault, a Marine who survives three tours in Iraq. He attributes his good fortune to a photograph he carried of a woman he has never met, and he sets out to meet his good-luck charm when he returns to North Carolina. -
Nicholas teams up with Marty Bowen for new Film and TV projects
After working together on 2010's highly-successful drama 'Dear John', Nicholas Sparks and producer Marty Bowen have joined forces on two new projects… the film adaptation of "SAFE HAVEN" and the television show "THE WATCHERS", which revolves around the Archangel Raphael, who after spending centuries as a Watcher and invisibly providing support to humans in the time of need, decides to cut off his wings out of love for Sarah, a mortal woman, so that he can truly be with her for the rest of her days.
From the 'Twilight' series to ABC’s hit drama "Revenge", Marty is a highly accomplished producer and both he and Nick will executive produce "THE WATCHERS" for ABC. Nick is currently working on the script for the show and "SAFE HAVEN" will start shooting in a few months.

Warner Bros. buys Sparks’ novel rights
Warner Bros. has bought feature rights to Nicholas Sparks' upcoming novel The Best of Me, the fifth Sparks property that the studio's put into development. Studio confirmed the deal Friday. Project's been set with Warner-based Denise Di Novi, who's produced a quartet of Sparks film adaptations -- Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, Nights in Rodanthe and upcoming The Lucky One, starring Zac Efron. -
Lasse Hallstrom to Direct Nicholas Sparks Adaptation ‘Safe Haven’
Lasse Hallstrom is adapting another Nicholas Sparks novel -- Safe Haven -- for Relativity Media, the studio announced Thursday.
